Is it common to gain weight in starting weight training exercises?
I started going to the gym 6 weeks ago. I have actually gained 5 pounds and have not changed my diet at all. My skinny jeans still fit and my rings spin around my fingers as if I have lost weight. I dont like gaining weight and am 5 feet 1 inch andnow weigh 118. I used to weigh 113. What is going on?How can I get back to 113?

If this is true then how do you explain the absolute monster bodybuilders that emerge from prison...those guys have very limited means of equipment and most definitely a pretty bad diet, yet you see men in their later 60s in better shape than a lot of people in their late 20s. Can someone explain this please because while it may be true for aerobic exercises...i dont believe that it also applys to weight training.

Weight training exercise and blood pressure?
I am 21 yrs old male.I am doing weight training and cardio workouts regularly for last 8 months in a gym under supervision. My blood pressure was absolutely normal till 18 th Jan 2010 when I last measured it. I used to exercise in the evening but from last 2 days i have switched it to morning. But yesterday and today evening my blood pressure was 150 90 and in the morning it was 120 80. Is this higher B.P.related to my exercise?I have no other medical problem but had severe food allergy attack on 19 th Jan 2010.Yes but my main question is about blood pressure not weight. I just wanted to ask that can it be high in the evening due to my body was used to heavy exercise every evening until now.Can the blood pressure be high in the evening on Saturday just because I used to work out in the evening till Wednesday.
